It has come to my conclusion that our Asian pro-bloggers are not displaying as much ads as our western pro-blogger counterparts. We Asian, hover well average around 10% ads level compared to the worlds’ pro-blogger of around 15%

Does it mean that the more ads percentage has some correlation with the amount of profit can be gained from monetizing your blog. We all know how much John Chow earns from his monthly report, and he tops the chart at a staggering 27.86% ads presence

When is it will it be considered having too much ads. Well what I’ve come to learn is that, a monetized blog should not sell-out totally and plastered a whole load of ads on your blog but there’s should be restricted to 15% at most when starting out

I don’t think John Chow started out plastering too many ads. Only when you have that considerable traffic and following, only then I believe you can whore out and maximize the spaces on your blog

As long its not beyond that 25% adverts, I think your blog will not be too commercialized and yet still optimized for both content and the monetization. As they would usually say it, “too little or too much of anything, its going to spoil it”

So there you go … so whats your ad percentage?

Calculated using simple mathematics. I capture a whole screenshot of blog and calculate total area. Then i added up the advertisemtn total area and tally a percentage over the total blog area. More or less there’s +/-2% error in calculation. The following calculations are based on blog content area vs ads area and may not be fully accurate
