We all know Google current stance on paid links
And we all are waiting for the very much delayed Google PageRank update
I was wondering if there’s any correlation to the above two. Will the next PageRank have a new algorithm to detect and penalize with blogs having paid links such as Text Links Ads?
Will it be using the new Ori Allon search engine algorithm that Google purchase last year that can return pages on not just the keyword entered in, but also pages with content that is strongly related to the keyword. Maybe that’s why the delay in PageRank update, a new algorithm is in place perhaps?
With numerous blogs that have implemented Text Links Ads on their blogs. Not only it will hurt publisher income but advertiser stand also being jeopardize to have their links on such blogs penalized too by Google if they can detect such paid links.
Being de-indexed by Google could mean you could stand lose up to half your visitors reach. Now that’s a killer blow if you depend on the search engines for your business and income. David Airey learned it the hard way and he suspect it’s Google de-indexing that result in the drop of visitors
Well the above is just a few thoughts that was on my mind earlier as I was signing up with TNX.net. Another similar ‘player’ to Text Links Ads as it promises publisher to earn money from the ads and advertisers an assured better search engine ranking or PageRank
So I decided to foray into DigitalPoint forums which is a great resource for webmasters, and couple of blogs to find out more on Text Link Ads, TNX and PageRank. More or less the forum user at DigitalPoint don’t advocate paid links. Well well no surprise there.
I believe anything that would be a direct competition to Google, big daddy Google won’t approve of it. For example, Text Link Ads and TNX is indeed in direct competition, to Google AdWords.
As for PageRank, Ades mentioned PageRank is indeed on-going, it’s just that it’s in the PageRank revoking phase now, meaning bad bad blogs get their PageRank reduced or revoked probably due to the blog caught trying to manipulate the Google ’system’
Well whatever the outcome, we bloggers will have to adapt to the changes if there is. Everyone will keep on trying to manipulate the system for their own means, even me. I mean who doesn’t. Everyone would like to be at the top of the searches or having a better ranked blog right.
Well nonetheless good luck to those eagerly awaiting for their PageRank plus let’s hope paid links would still be around eh for a long time
P.S: Patrick Gavin from Text Link Ads just email TLA members that there’s a 15% discount for advertisers. Potential advertisers if you want to drive traffic and raise your natural search engine rankings.

Thankfully, my Google penalty has been reversed, and I’ve published a blog post about how that came about.
I do appreciate the mention though.
I’m glad you’ve settled that issue
An experience we all could learn, thinking back, I think I’ve done similarly like you, but i’ve not been Google bombed however for my keywords
Looks like I’ve to go the ‘organic’ way. Most of the time I do, sometimes I don’t even realise it’s a blackhat SEO technique
Question: Did google detect this blackhat seo or did someone ‘report’ you in
thanks for dropping by :)
Not sure what happened, really. I doubt if I was reported that someone would own up to it. Still, I did wrongly, and was rightly penalised. Lesson learnt.
Thanks for sharing that experience David
google needs to update their ranks already!
Well we waited this long, another few more weeks, what difference does it make eh
